Sneak peek…. Miss L, 11 days old…. June 8, 2010

What a gorgeous little lady Miss L is!  Perfect skin, long eyelashes, beautiful dark hair… just gorgeous!  She was a little bit feisty for our session but we managed to get a lot of great images in the short period of time that she allowed us to… gotta love how babies show us who is in charge right from the get go!

I hope our session tired her out and she let you guys sleep at least a little bit last night!  :)

Sneak peek…. Miss H, one year old! April 21, 2010

I took this precious little girl’s newborn photos almost a year ago… it’s just amazing how time flies.  It’s always so neat to be able to see how much a baby has grown and changed in such a short period of time.  Miss H was as beautiful as the last time I saw her… and it was wonderful to be able to capture her with her beautiful blue eyes OPEN this time… wow, have you ever seen such big beautiful blue eyes??  Good luck saying “no” to those, mom and dad!  Forget it!  :)

It was so great to see you all a year later and see the adorable little family you’ve become.  I hope to see you again in the future!

Sneak peek… Miss E, 2 years old! February 15, 2010

I got to hang out with my little friend Miss E today for her TWO year old session.  The last time I saw her she was 18 months old and about to be a big sister.  Today she was as beautiful and spunky as ever… she was giving us a bit of two year old ‘tude from time to time so we just took it really easy and let her think she was in charge.  ;)   She did manage to give me some serious stink eye on occassion though…

HA!  Gotta love a girl with some ‘tude.  :)

I love the way these images turned out for being stuck inside on a cold day… I’m always a bit worried we won’t be able to do enough inside but I really think these tell the story of this little princess at two years old.  Hope you love them so far, Mom and Dad… can’t wait for Mr. E’s SIX MONTH session next month.  Man, time flies!

I couldn’t resist sharing this one of baby brother… can’t wait for his session in March!  What a good lookin’ baby!!

Sneak peek, take II, Mr. P, 16 days old… February 9, 2010

At 16 days old, Mr. P was quite a bit older than I like to photograph newborns… I was a bit worried about his session and if I’d be able to get him to sleep and keep him asleep to get all of those adorable newborn shots that everyone loves.  When I arrived he was awake, alert with no sleep in sight.  I was able to get quite a few shots with his eyes open since his eyes were a lot stronger than they would have been a week ago.  He was definitely a challenge to get to sleep after that point.. I had to use every trick in the book but eventually he gave up.  :)

I’m so glad I was able to capture this little (BIG) man… born at almost 11 pounds, he was my biggest newborn to date.  I loved his smooshy cheeks and the fact that he already had some baby chub on him.  He also had the softest skin I’ve seen on a baby this age… usually at this point they have really peely skin and baby acne.  He was just perfect and gorgeous.

It was great meeting you all… I hope you get some sleep soon mama!  Don’t hesitate to ask people for help, I’m sure all of your preggo friends would love to come over and cuddle that gorgeous man so you can take a shower and a nap!

Sneak peek… Miss S turns one! February 8, 2010

Today was a little bit bittersweet for me.  As I’ve mentioned about a billion times on this blog, I just love my first year clients.  I get the opportunity to really get to know these little ones and am given the gift of watching them grow during their first year of life.  So, as much as I love the big first birthday shoot, it’s also a bit sad to know that it will probably be while before I get to see them again!  I definitely won’t be seeing them every few months like I’ve been able to.

It’s been such a pleasure to work with this family.  Super sweet Mom and Dad, entertaining and beautiful big sis and of course, Miss cutie patootie herself, Miss S.  This little one has turned into such a character… from her non-stop talking in her own special language to that super funny one-knee crawl, there was no shortage of laughs today.  Miss S was in an awesome mood and LOVED being the center of attention.  Both Mom and I were shocked at how much she loved this poofy pettiskirt that I brought!  She definitely played the part of princess for a day!

Happy 1st birthday… tell your Mom to keep in touch!!  :)

Sneak peek… The P twins… being one is fun!! January 31, 2010

I completely adore my regular clients… it’s such an amazing gift to be able to capture someone else’s child as they grow up.  I get to witness all of their milestones and watch them grow…. without doing any of  the hard work!  :)   I first met this beautiful duo when they were a few weeks old.  I was just starting out then and they were the PERFECT models for me… sleepy and peaceful.  Today at one they are busy, busy, busy!!  Miss C is a lightning fast crawler and Miss T is a tricky one escaping me both by crawling AND walking.  I have no doubt they will both be RUNNING the next time I see them… yikes.  They are both as beautiful as the first time I met them and they just keep getting more and more fun for me to play with.  I hope to continue to see this pair throughout the years.

To be continued…. December 16, 2009

I was supposed to have a newborn session with this adorable little guy yesterday…. driving there I realized that it was QUITE foggy but I was thinking I could probably make the amount of light work for one little guy. The first little bit went ok thanks to some good sized windows in his nursery. Mr. L needed a little snack before I was going to be able to get him into that super deep sleep stage… unfortunately during his snack break it got even darker and I felt that if I kept going, I just might not be able to deliver the caliber images that I want for my client. So, as much as it pained me because I just love this super tiny stage, I suggested we reschedule ASAP and hope for a little more light from Mother Nature. Here is a small glimpse at the handsome Mr. L and you’ll be seeing more next Monday!

Sneak peek…. Miss E, 2 months December 14, 2009

This isn’t an age that I normally photograph because as all photographers know, it’s just a notoriously hard age to capture well. I didn’t want to turn this mom away though because when their daughter was born they had a hard time finding a newborn photographer that fit their needs. I’m so glad I gave it a shot because Miss E was beautiful and happy and really made it a breeze. It was so neat to capture the bond between this family of 3… the love between them is obvious in these photos and I hope they cherish them for a lifetime.
