Had a little visit with one of my BF’s the other day and had to do another round of belly photos since it looks like Mr. man might be joining us real soon! We can’t wait to meet him and finally put a rest to the “what will he look like???… “what will his personality be like??” questions! I’m sure he’ll be just as gorgeous as his mama and just as energetic and fun as his daddy!
What a cute young family… 2 little boys with another one on the way! Mama is obviously very, very brave. 
I was pretty certain that this shoot would be a bit tricky since I have little boys the same ages- 2 and 4. Big brother reminded me SO much of my older son AND they had the same name! We were instant friends, needless to say. Little brother was a little shy and not quite as sure of me, but did great regardless.
It was awesome to meet you all… looking forward to working with you again and meeting sweet boy #3!

It’s always neat meeting first time soon-to-be parents… such an exciting and life changing time! Thanks for letting me capture this time in your lives… I can’t wait to meet Miss L… I’m sure she’ll be a beauty!

Well, the wait is over for this lovely couple and….. IT’S A GIRL!! Little Miss K was just a DREAM today… she definitely fit the saying “sugar and spice and all things nice”.
It was great seeing you guys again… you look like naturals at only one week in! Keep up the good work and enjoy that beautiful baby girl of yours!!
I got to take a lovely drive through the country up to WI to meet this lovely couple who are awaiting the arrival of their little boy! I just have the best luck in the world, getting to photograph such beautiful mamas-to-be. I loved this mama’s relaxed and natural style and tried to stay true to that in her photos. I hope you love the sneak peek… looking foward to seeing you guys again and meeting your beautiful baby boy!
This mama-to-be is one of my very best friends so this was a special shoot for me. We first met in high school and in the name of honesty, I thought she was a total spaz the first time I met her. I still think she’s a spaz at times, but I love her dearly. I was THRILLED to find out they were expecting… it took all of my strength not to sob like a little baby but a few tears of joy did escape me… I’m a wee bit more emotional about these things since having children of my own! It’s just such an awesome time and it’s so neat to get to take part in your friends journey of becoming parents.
We were so excited to find out they are having a BOY! I can’t wait for him to play with my rascals and they can teach him all of their nasty tricks. Hopefully they can teach him some good things too. I’m sure they’ll have him in a superhero costume in no time!
I can’t wait for him to arrive and hear what you decided to name him… although, I’m still voting for Edwardo.

I get asked “what should I wear??” quite a bit and for the most part I don’t have a definitive answer. We are well past (ok, MOST of us are well past) the days of white button down shirts and khakis as our photo session go to wardrobe. Since I’ve known this mama personally for many years, I know she’s a huge Beatles fan so I thought it would be super cute and unique to incorporate that into her shoot. Fun, form fitting t-shirts also happen to be a great way to show off that baby belly! She didn’t really plan to have soon-to-be big brother in a Beatles shirt as well, but those of us who are mothers to opinionated toddlers know that once they decide what they MUST wear, it’s typically not worth starting an argument over. And who can argue with the kid for wanting to look cool like his mama??
I had to put together a little slideshow for this sneak peek because something VERY strange happened when I was leaving the shoot. In my car, 99.9% of the time I listen to “The Coffee House” on my Sirius radio (no, this isn’t a plug, but if they want to give me some $$, I’d be happy to take it!!). It’s mostly singer-songwriter, acoustic type stuff and they play a lot of really neat covers. I had the opportunity to photograph not one but TWO beautiful pregnant women today! I had such a great time with both of them… and both sessions were very unique and different from each other. Just to be a tease I’m going to show you a shot from both of them! More tomorrow….
I tend to think all pregnant women are beautiful in their own right… there’s definitely something to be said about that pregnant “glow”. But WOW was this mama-to-be just STUNNING. Just a natural beauty that seems to be amplified by being pregnant. What a lucky woman!
It was such a joy to get to know these soon-to-be-parents today. I can’t wait to find out if there’s a boy or girl baby growing in there! Good for you holding out, it makes it so much fun! My thought leaving today was that it’s a boy… I can see them as “boy” parents because they’re so easy going and neither one seems like they’d be bothered by a little running around and getting messy… but then I can also see this super sweet but strong dad-to-be as an awesome protector of a beautiful (like mama) little girl… hmmmm… I guess time will tell, but either way, I think this baby is very lucky to have such great parents!
