Sneak peek…. Miss L, 11 days old…. June 8, 2010

What a gorgeous little lady Miss L is!  Perfect skin, long eyelashes, beautiful dark hair… just gorgeous!  She was a little bit feisty for our session but we managed to get a lot of great images in the short period of time that she allowed us to… gotta love how babies show us who is in charge right from the get go!

I hope our session tired her out and she let you guys sleep at least a little bit last night!  :)

Sneak peek… Miss J, 11 days April 13, 2010

YAY!  She’s here!  I’ve just been dying to meet this sweet little thing ever since I found out her mom was expecting a little girl months ago!!  She knows how I love all things teensy-tiny baby girl so I was thrilled when she asked me to do her photos.  She broke a long boy streak in her family so I’m guessing everyone is enjoying the sweet little girl things just as much as I do.  I’m guessing with a big brother to show her the ropes, she won’t be a super frilly little girl so I had to make sure to sneak some girliness into her photos while I had a chance!  :)

Congrats again to you all… Mr. H is an AWESOME big brother and Miss J is just the sweetest little thing…. ok, ok, she has some ‘tude too- I wouldn’t expect anything less!

Sneak peek…. Miss K, 8 days April 3, 2010

Well, the wait is over for this lovely couple and….. IT’S A GIRL!!  Little Miss K was just a DREAM today… she definitely fit the saying “sugar and spice and all things nice”.  :)

It was great seeing you guys again… you look like naturals at only one week in!  Keep up the good work and enjoy that beautiful baby girl of yours!!

Sneak peek… Mr. Z, 7 days old… March 24, 2010

This little guy just couldn’t have been any more perfect today… such a gorgeous little man, sleepy, peaceful…  only got mad at me a couple times when I tried to put a ridiculous hat on him.  He just had to let me know that it TOTALLY wasn’t his style.  Having 2 boys of my own, I know they have opinions from Day One so I let him make the call and I moved onto the next thing.  :)

It was great meeting you today, mama, and play a little game of “it’s a small world”… too funny!!  Enjoy that little angel of yours.. and the offer still stands if you get sick of him.  ;)

Sneak peek… Miss N, 8 days old…. March 17, 2010

I got to have another “it’s a small world” moment today photographing the newborn daughter of a high school classmate who also happens to be married to one of my BF’s cousin!  Try to figure that one out… sorry, it sounds awfully confusing.  Point being, this whole six degrees of separation is really freaking me out lately.  :)

This itty bitty little peanut was such a joy to be around today.  As most of you know, newborn baby girls are pretty much my favorite thing in the world.  I get to whip out all the adorable little headbands and hats and play dress up with a real live baby doll.  Perhaps it’s a good thing I  have boys, if I had a girl she would be tortured on a daily basis.

It was so nice chatting with Miss N’s mama today… I don’t know that we ever got the chance in high school.  Somehow once you have children whatever divides that may have existed back then seem to go away.  Every mom in the world can relate to sleepless nights, poop blowouts and the worries that go along with having a new baby.  Welcome to motherhood, Melissa, did you ever guess that one day all you would talk about is eating, sleeping and poop??  LOL!

Hope you love the photos of your little princess!

Sneak peek, take II, Mr. P, 16 days old… February 9, 2010

At 16 days old, Mr. P was quite a bit older than I like to photograph newborns… I was a bit worried about his session and if I’d be able to get him to sleep and keep him asleep to get all of those adorable newborn shots that everyone loves.  When I arrived he was awake, alert with no sleep in sight.  I was able to get quite a few shots with his eyes open since his eyes were a lot stronger than they would have been a week ago.  He was definitely a challenge to get to sleep after that point.. I had to use every trick in the book but eventually he gave up.  :)

I’m so glad I was able to capture this little (BIG) man… born at almost 11 pounds, he was my biggest newborn to date.  I loved his smooshy cheeks and the fact that he already had some baby chub on him.  He also had the softest skin I’ve seen on a baby this age… usually at this point they have really peely skin and baby acne.  He was just perfect and gorgeous.

It was great meeting you all… I hope you get some sleep soon mama!  Don’t hesitate to ask people for help, I’m sure all of your preggo friends would love to come over and cuddle that gorgeous man so you can take a shower and a nap!

Sneak peek…. Miss L, 6 days old and sweet as sugar… February 3, 2010

My newborn boy streak is over!!  I jinxed myself by buying all of these adorable little headbands and then went on a 5 in a row boy streak!  I was thrilled to get the call that I was going to be able to take this little peanuts newborn photos.  She was an absolute DOLL… so perfect, sleepy and sweet the whole time.  I hope she continues to be this perfect for her mama… she would be the absolute dream for a third child.

Ahhhhh…. look at this face!!!  :)

To be continued…. December 16, 2009

I was supposed to have a newborn session with this adorable little guy yesterday…. driving there I realized that it was QUITE foggy but I was thinking I could probably make the amount of light work for one little guy. The first little bit went ok thanks to some good sized windows in his nursery. Mr. L needed a little snack before I was going to be able to get him into that super deep sleep stage… unfortunately during his snack break it got even darker and I felt that if I kept going, I just might not be able to deliver the caliber images that I want for my client. So, as much as it pained me because I just love this super tiny stage, I suggested we reschedule ASAP and hope for a little more light from Mother Nature. Here is a small glimpse at the handsome Mr. L and you’ll be seeing more next Monday!
