Sneak peek… Miss E, 2 years old! February 15, 2010

I got to hang out with my little friend Miss E today for her TWO year old session.  The last time I saw her she was 18 months old and about to be a big sister.  Today she was as beautiful and spunky as ever… she was giving us a bit of two year old ‘tude from time to time so we just took it really easy and let her think she was in charge.    She did manage to give me some serious stink eye on occassion though…

HA!  Gotta love a girl with some ‘tude. 

I love the way these images turned out for being stuck inside on a cold day… I’m always a bit worried we won’t be able to do enough inside but I really think these tell the story of this little princess at two years old.  Hope you love them so far, Mom and Dad… can’t wait for Mr. E’s SIX MONTH session next month.  Man, time flies!

I couldn’t resist sharing this one of baby brother… can’t wait for his session in March!  What a good lookin’ baby!!

Sneak peek… The P twins… being one is fun!! January 31, 2010

I completely adore my regular clients… it’s such an amazing gift to be able to capture someone else’s child as they grow up.  I get to witness all of their milestones and watch them grow…. without doing any of  the hard work!    I first met this beautiful duo when they were a few weeks old.  I was just starting out then and they were the PERFECT models for me… sleepy and peaceful.  Today at one they are busy, busy, busy!!  Miss C is a lightning fast crawler and Miss T is a tricky one escaping me both by crawling AND walking.  I have no doubt they will both be RUNNING the next time I see them… yikes.  They are both as beautiful as the first time I met them and they just keep getting more and more fun for me to play with.  I hope to continue to see this pair throughout the years.

HELLO fall weather, where’ve ya been all my life??

I was so worried about the weather for today because this Mom was so on top of her stuff contacting me during the summer to set up a fall session. Since we have been having such a yucky fall, it wasn’t looking good for any outdoor photos. Luckily, we had a lovely morning and were able to explore a bit outside! I thought the whole fall/farm/barn theme meshes together nicely… and the colors Mom chose for their outfits worked out perfectly.

It was great to finally meet you guys today! Your boys were SO good- they really did earn that treat at the end. Of course I couldn’t leave without including the family pooch! Here’s his first official doggie portrait…

Sneak peek… Miss S, 9 months (and Mom & Dad & big sister too!) October 24, 2009

i just adore my “baby’s first year” clients! i love seeing baby grow, love getting to know the family and of course love the little friends that i make (even if they’re only four years old).

today was baby sister’s 9 month shoot so we tried to focus on her mostly but we also did some family shots and how could i resist big sister in full dorothy costume?? she makes a PERFECT dorothy and can even sing “somewhere over the rainbow”. impressive!

back to baby sister… she’s gotten MUCH faster since her last shoot! crawling? nah, not really, scooting and spinning are her preferred methods of travelling! so flippin’ adorable to see how proud of herself she is. i had to put together a storyboard to show her tricks….

since we had such a crummy day today we had to get really creative with light (that’s fine, i love a good challenge!). conveniently Mom & Dad recently did some remodeling and have a beautiful pushed out window in the living room (somebody help me with the proper term for that?? brain isn’t working….) so we hovered there quite a bit today!

Sneak peek…. P family October 11, 2009

i’m so glad that i decided to travel out of my typical range to meet this family today. hanging with them was really a fun way to start my day. the weather wasn’t PERFECT but much better than the pouring down rain on the original day that we had planned. the kiddos weren’t their typical giggly selves but i managed to get a few smiles out of mr. L and miss G was just a joy to be around. reading princess books with her in her beautiful nursery was a highlight from my day. thanks for welcoming me into your home, i look forward to working with you again!

To be honest, when my friend Tammy asked if I would take some photos of her boys while her parents (their Nanny & Grampy) were in town, I was a wee bit nervous. You see, my boys are friends with her boys and I know just how much energy they have. And, in her own words, they HATE getting their picture taken. Well, well, they were in the mood to make me look silly and make mom into a liar because they were FANTASTIC today. They put most of my little clients to shame and were perfectly behaved, smiley and cooperative! YAY boys!! I hope you were treated to a HUGE stack of pancakes and bacon and enjoy the rest of your visit with your delightful grandparents.

what a fun day i got to have at work today… went to the beach, played in the sand, put my feet in the water, went on a boat and got to cuddle with a very cute 4 year old. tough life, eh?
thanks mom and dad for showing me what life looks like at your house… it was really hard to go back to reality! it was great to finally meet you and i hope to see you all again soon!

if you ever think that you have a busy household, i dare you to spend a couple hours chasing 2.5 year old twins! LOL! i just loved spending the morning with this giggly pair… boy, oh boy, are they busy though! i have even greater respect for their mama now.
the girls had 3 different outfit changes, all PINK for breast cancer awareness. kick ass next week mama, you have a lot of support in your corner!
